What is DTF and how does it work?
Direct to Film prints your design onto a clear film with a white ink base and adhesive powder. Heat press it onto fabric and it bonds into the fibers. Four steps, start to finish.

Any file type works. Vector is best, raster at 300 DPI. Clean it up with the free background remover.

We print it on film
Full color plus a white base goes onto PET film, gets coated in adhesive powder and cured. Usually within hours.

No pre-press needed. Medium pressure at 275 to 300°F. Use heat tape on hats or with an iron.

What are DTF transfers?
Direct to Film transfers are full-color designs printed onto a special film with a white ink base and adhesive powder. You heat press them onto fabric and the design bonds to the fibers. No weeding, no screens and no minimums.
How fast will I get my order?
Most orders print the same day, often within a few hours. Order before 3 PM CT for same-day pickup. Shipped orders placed before 4 PM CT go out the same or next business day, and orders over $100 ship free.
Should I order by size or build a gang sheet?
Order by size if you have one or a few designs and want the simplest checkout. Use the gang sheet builder when you have many designs or sizes, since packing them on one sheet gives the lowest cost per inch. Already laid out your sheet? Upload it ready to print.
How do I press a DTF transfer?
Position the transfer and press with medium pressure at 275 to 300°F for 15 seconds. Peel the film while it's still warm. Then cover with parchment paper and press 15 more seconds for a softer, more durable finish.
To wash, turn the garment inside out, use cold water and tumble dry low or hang dry.
What fabrics does DTF work on?
Cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, fleece, denim and canvas, in any color. Always test heat-sensitive materials first and use parchment to protect the garment.
What files can I upload?
All file types are accepted. Vector files give the sharpest result, and raster art should be at least 300 DPI at print size. Using Canva or Procreate? Export as a PDF.
What size should my design be?
A full front on an adult medium is usually 10 to 11 inches wide, and a left chest logo is 3 to 4 inches. Check the DTF size guide for kids, 2XL and sleeve sizes.
What's the difference between DTF and UV DTF?
DTF is heat pressed onto fabric. UV DTF is a peel-and-stick transfer for hard surfaces like tumblers, glass, metal, plastic and wood. It needs no heat and is waterproof and scratch resistant.
Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?
Yes, and it's automatic. The price per square inch drops as your order size grows, on both transfers by size and gang sheets. Ordering for a team, event or store? Call us and we'll quote larger runs.
Can you press the transfers for me?
Yes. We press in-house on your garments or on apparel ordered through us. Call (314) 942-3212 with your quantity and garment type for pricing and turnaround.
How do I wash a shirt with a DTF transfer?
Wait 24 hours after pressing, then turn the garment inside out, wash cold on a gentle cycle and tumble dry low or hang dry. Skip bleach and don't iron directly on the print.
Can I pick up my order in person?
Yes. Choose local pickup at checkout and collect at 450 Howdershell Rd, Florissant, MO, Monday to Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM. Orders placed before 3 PM CT are usually ready the same day.
